T-Tool - Discovery and configuration utility software for Teracom modules

The T-Tool is a simple and easy-to-use tool for quick discovery, testing and communicating with local Teracom command modules. You can test and configure your modules using Modbus, SNMP and HTTP interfaces. Software is free and can be downloaded in the Attachemnts section.

User friendly interface

Upon running this software you can see a simple navigation menu with everything you need - Discovery, Data, Modbus, SNMP, SNMP Trap, HTTP server and Log. On the homepage you can find a list of discovered Teracom modules, just press the "Start Discovery" button and software automatically lists all available Teracom modules it found on your local network. Software is by default searching on all local adresses (255.255.255.255), but you can narrow this search down to whatever range you need. Every cell in the list has its use - doubleclicking these cells will take you to corresponding settings - doubleclick on Hostname will take you to HTTP Data debugging, Serial/MAC to Modbus communication tab (it also automatically fills in the required fields) and Address field with take you to a web interface.

Discovery works on Microchip TCP/IP Discoverer Utility over TCP/IP STACK. UDP 30303.

HTTP Data

In this section you can easily test and debug the HTTP communication. Just type in the device address and command (status.xml by default, shows current device status). List of commands can be found in user manual.

Modbus

Modbus tab allows you to test and communicate via the Modbus interface. Simply type in the device address, command and you are good to go. Full list of Modbus commands can be found in user manual.

SNMP and SNMP Trap

SNMP allows you to test and communicate via the SNMP interface. Full list of SNMP commands can be found in user manual. SNMP Trap function is also useful to get status messages from the module.
