Every measuring function you need

No matter what measurement function you need for totalizing, frequency or time-related measurements, you"ll find it in the PM 6681 timer/counter. The counter gives you no less than 8 totalize modes, including simultaneous up/down counting and totalizing over a preset time. It also gives you a 4 digit 120 MHz peak reading voltmeter plus phase, duty factor, Vmax./Vmin., pulsewidth and rise/fall time.

Frequency range

The PM 6681 timer/counter spans a frequency range of up to 8 GHz, which enables calibration of microwave links, communications and radar equipment. You can make frequency measurements accurately and easily, not only on continuous carrier waves, but also on burst signals.

Resolution

With the high resolution/speed performance of 11 digits/s, these counters are ideal tools for frequency measurements on telecom systems. Time interval measurements down to 1ps average and 50 ps single shot are supported

Time base options

Time base options include TCXO, High Stability Oven, Very High Stability Oven and Rubidium, giving time base stability of better than 5 x 10-11 per month.

Measuring functions

Frequency, Frequency Burst, Period, Ratio, Time Interval, Pulse Width A, Rise and Fall Time A, Phase A-B, Duty Factor A, Totalize A,B and AC/DC Voltage.

Auxiliary functions

Trigger Hold-Off, External Arming, Statistics (Max, Min, Mean & Std Deviation) and Mathematics.

***Calibration Adjustment Tolerance: Is the maximal tolerated deviation from the true 10MHz frequency after a calibration. When the reference frequency does not exceed the tolerance limits at the moment of calibration, an adjustment is not needed.
****Total uncertainty: Is the total possible deviation from the true 10MHz value under influence of frequency drift due to aging and ambient temperature variations versus the reference temperature. The operating temperature range and the calibration interval are part of this specification.
